TTM Success – Eric King

Former pitcher Eric King returned my 1989 Fleer today. King pitched for the Tigers, White Sox and Indians over a solid 6 year career. Ken Griffey Jr, hit his first home run against Eric King.

TTM Success Dennis Higgins

Dennis Higgins played in the bigs from 1966-1972. As a relief pitcher he made appearances with the White Sox, Senators, Cardinals, and one season with the Indians. Mr. Higgins was kind enough to sign my 1970 Topps card.

TTM Success Jamey Shouppe

This nice gem was waiting in the mailbox for me today. Jamey Shouppe was a standout pitcher for the Seminoles from 1981-1982. Following his playing career Shouppe became an assistant coach under Mike Martin and helped the Seminoles become a powerhouse collegiate program throughout the 90s and 2000s. In 2013 Shouppe accepted the head coaching position at nearby Florida A&M where he continues to coach today. In 2014 Shouppe led FAMU to a MEAC Championship, their first in 20 years.

TTM Success Gary Sutherland

Great card received today from Gary Sutherland. Gary played in MLB from 1967-1978 and spent time with the Phillies, Expos, Astros, Tigers, Brewers, Padres, and Cardinals. Sutherland remained involved in baseball serving as a scout and scouting director for the Angels.

TTM Success Wayne Rosenthal

Wayne Rosenthal had a short career in the majors following a promising Minor League Career. In 2 seasons he went 1-4 with a 5.40 ERA and 62 Strikeouts. While his playing career was short he continued in the game as a pitching coach for the Montreal Expos and Florida Marlins.

Mr. Rosenthal was kind enough to sign my 1992 Fleer card and send it back to me.

Hank Aaron Certified Autograph

This is probably my favorite card of the collection. It took me many years to be able to afford a certified Hank Aaron autographed card. While it’s not exactly vintage it is a great autograph on an older card featuring my one of my all-time favorite players.
